Babies & Beyond

12:00:PM - 3:00:PM

Babies & Beyond is a dynamic weekly group for teen parents and “mommas-to-be” living in the Belleville area. It is offered at the South Hastings-Prince Edward Ontario Early Years Centre in partnership with Ontario Works and Children’s Mental Health. The group meets Tuesday & Thursday afternoons from noon to 3:00. The services are free.

You can access our services if you:

are under the age of 21 years
are pregnant or parenting

Babies & Beyond is where you can:

enjoy social time with peers
have a nutritious lunch
access childcare while you attend the group
take credit courses to get your high school diploma
win prizes and receive great "free stuff"
have discussions on topics such as prenatal health, personal well being, child development, parenting tips, nutrition and breastfeeding
get support and information

Babies & Beyond groups are also available in Bancroft, Madoc, Picton, and Quinte West.

Live, Love, Latch

11:30:AM - 1:30:PM

Live Love Latch is a support and information sharing group for breastfeeding moms. It is offered at the South Hastings-Prince Edward Ontario Early Years Centre. The group meets Thursday mornings from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The services are free.

Live Love Latch is where you can:

get and give support about breastfeeding
meet other breastfeeding moms and kids
talk about your experiences
get help and resources

New Parent Group

10:00:AM - 11:30:AM

The New Parent Group for Baby & Family is an informal gathering of babies and their moms, dads and caregivers new to the role of parenting. The group meets at the Ontario Early Years Centre from 10:00 to 11:30 am on Mondays and Thursdays for babies birth to 12 months of age. The service is free.

The New Parent Group is where you can

get support and guidance as a new parent
socialize with other parents and their babies
get information and resources
ask questions and share ideas
participate in discussions and workshops
learn from visiting professionals
connect to other services related to babies and parenting

Tyendingaga Early Learning Playgroup

9:30:AM - 11:30:AM

You will enjoy the ambiance of this gorgeous play environment inside a rural library setting. This playgroup presents a program schedule that is sure to boost your child's love of learning as well as offering occasional parenting workshops and presentations.

Family Space Playgroup

9:00:AM - 12:00:PM

Choose from a wide variety of materials, activities and events offered in beautifully equipped large play spaces specially designed to encourage children to safely explore, experiment and learn through play. Your fun-filled day may include visits to the Creative Room, Block/Drama Room, Infant/Toddler Room, Gymnasium and Discovery Den. The friendly qualified staff invites you to join them as they strive to enrich the lives of children and those special people who care for them.
